It's estimated that at least 10% of all commercial herbal products are fakes, and recent investigations found that 79% of products tested did NOT have any DNA from the plants advertised on their labels. In fact a 2015 investigation by the New York State Attorney General’s Office alleged that some store-brand herbal supplements sold by Walmart, Walgreens, Target and GNC are "bogus" and "could not be verified to contain the labeled substance, or were found to contain ingredients not listed on the labels."
